As I rolled up quietly on my Mountain bike, I couldn't believe the Bobcat was just sitting there!

He (she?) was intent on something nearby. Notice the white earspots?

He just sat around for a good 10 minutes and let me take all the pics I wanted. Wish I had brought my better camera!

He kept a good eye on me, making me just a bit nervous sometimes. Standing normally (on all fours), I estimate the top of his head would come up a little above my knee. (I'm about 5'7" tall).

More bikers rode up the trail, and after I waved them down, and lots more pictures were being taken, some with cell phones, PDA's, etc.

He just kicked back and scratched, and looked very kitty-like.

Licking & cleaning, like most cats.

He actually rolled over on his back, feet and little bob tail in the air!

He finally got tired of us, and wandered off up the hill. Fun encounter!
