Oslo was intresting. We had to go shopping for clothes! But - we got our bags just before the ship left Oslo, thank the Lord!

We took a very nice small boat cruise from Kristiansand thru the beautiful fjords.

Album: Bergen, Norway
In Bergen, we had a great hike way up above the city, after a ride part way up on the Funicular Railway.

Album: Torshaven, Faroe Islands
The Faroe Islands were fascinating! Very historic, although a little rainy that day.

Album: Akureyri, Iceland
A trip to the lake country above Akureyri allowed us to see not only the lakes, but also some darn hot geothermal areas.

Isafjord (Isafjordur in Icelandic) was very scenic. We took a fast boat to a small island owned & run by one family and 300+ sheep!

We didn't see much of the city, but left Reykjavik to take a four-wheeel drive tour on a glacier, and saw some other neat things.

Album: Prince Christian Sound, Greenland
A complex of Fjords at the southern tip of Greenland was spectacular! The weather, icebergs and glaciers cooperated, and we were able to transit fjords not often seen by cruisers.

Album: Qaqortoq, Greenland
A word with 3 "Q's" and no "U's"? It's pronounced pretty much like it looks. Quite a small town, some interesting older buildings, and an introduction to the Innuit culture.

Album: St. Anthony, Newfoundland, Canada
St. Anthony is all about the old Viking settlement nearby. Yes, there is no longer ANY doubt that the Vikings were in Canada about 500 years before Columbus "discovered" North America.

Album: St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada
St. John's was memorable for the sail cruise we took, and without trying, saw some fantastic whales closeby. I got some great whale pictures! These are just a few. We also saw the furthest east point of North America, Cape Fear.
